Herd sires

Synergy is doing a nice job of bridging calving ease & performance. The bull is ultra-correct with eye appeal, and his calves are coming in at the right size and shape. In other words, calvability. He’s also pushing top EPDs for CED, WW, and YW. We calved the first set of Synergy daughters this year — 2023 — and they are proving themselves to be very good cows.

A proven Origen herd sire that is a leader in carcass genetics, especially IMF. With that being said, for a carcass bull, he offers mass of body and muscle shape, that most carcass-influenced bulls can rarely do.

F83 has developed from a big time herd bull ‘prospect’ into a sire exceeding all expectations. With admirable power and shape, he stands on great feet/legs with just super structure. We have also noticed that he is throwing wonderful dispositions into his calves. A strong maternal lineage backs up his pedigree. Producing calves that are flat out good, Conclusion F83 adds disposition, pounds and maternal qualities to his progeny.

He was the attention getter in Frey’s carload for the inaugural Cattlemen’s Congress. True isn’t your typical calving ease sire offered in commercial semen catalogs. Calves are consistently 70-75 lbs on 1st calf heifers with great vigor! Offers more body length when compared to other contemporary calving ease sires.

Unfortunately, this is the last set of his naturally sired calves. But longevity and consistency–he has been living proof of these characteristics. He was just a penload builder of consistent calves. Tremendously long-bodied and good-footed, it’s reflected in his progeny. His influence will be carried on in the backside throughout our herd. Consistency may not be flashy but we place a high value on it. RIP, good ole McCoy.

We are seeing good hip, correct structure, and just expressive muscle shape with the Coalition progeny. Sons are solidly performing and just overall nice looking. He’ll also have impact potential for delivering consistent and productive daughters.

So many things to say about this proven herd sire! A big, easy keeping bull that breeds with so much consistency. We’ve seen his sons and daughters at Frey and Kreb ranches and you can walk in the pen and pick out his progeny. He breeds length, frame, thickness and muscle shape in a clean phenotype. His daughters will be a great foundation builder for the future.

He’s an Appearance son that we raised out of a solid, dependable cow! We have just calved out his first daughters and they have great udder/teat design, are easy keeping and are great hipped. The sons that are offered are the thickest made sire group and are just sneaky good.
